Fire Station 3 was originally built for a crew of 2 firefighters in 1954. It has since been remodeled and reopened in 2006. The new station is larger and now has many modern features including a solar energy system that uses photovoltaic cells to power the fire station. The station is located at 2821 Homestead Road near Kiely Boulevard.
