Due to shelter in place restrictions during the COVID-19 health emergency,Alameda County Household Hazardous Waste Facilities in Oakland,Livermore,and Hayward are currently closed. While the Fremont location remains open,we recommend that residents postpone trips to the facility unless absolutely essential. For mail-in options for medicine,sharps,and more,explore the links below. Be sure to call first as hours and options may have changed. The Hayward Facility is operated by Alameda County Household Hazardous Waste. The service is free for Alameda County residents.
