Related Accessories
We also accept monitor stands, cables, power cords, docking-related display accessories, and other monitor-related components commonly retired with screen equipment. Please note that these accessories are not free to recycle like monitors.
In most cases, monitor-related accessories are charged at $1.00 per pound, but please contact GreenCitizen in advance so we can confirm the applicable recycling fee for your specific items.
Important: The brands and models listed above are examples, not limits. GreenCitizen accepts a broader range of monitor and display equipment than the names shown here. If you have a specialty display, oversized screen, or unusual legacy monitor, please contact us before pickup or drop-off so we can confirm the best handling plan.
California SB20 Compliance For Monitor Recycling
For California’s SB20 law, GreenCitizen requires California businesses and residents to provide a California address when recycling monitors. We log this information and submit it to ERI with each tracked shipment of screens.
This helps ensure that monitor recycling is processed in line with California requirements and reported accurately.
If you are dropping off monitors or scheduling a business pickup, please make sure your California address information is included as part of the intake process.
Important Note: Please note that under California’s SB20 screen recycling requirements, the state may occasionally contact the company or individual listed at intake to confirm that eligible screens were recycled with GreenCitizen. This is a normal verification step and may occur after your drop-off or pickup is completed.
Business Monitor Recycling Pickup In The Bay Area
GreenCitizen’s business monitor recycling pickup service is designed for organizations retiring display equipment during office relocations, workstation refreshes, facility cleanouts, desk reconfigurations, and broader IT equipment replacement projects.
How The Business Pickup Process Works
1. Complete The Pickup Request Form
To schedule a business pickup, complete the pickup request form with your equipment details, preferred pickup date and time, and any requested add-on services.
Include the monitor types and quantities you want to recycle, along with any related display accessories or other electronics included in the same load.
2. Stage Equipment For Pickup
All pickup items must be staged at a loading dock, ground-level area, or elevator-accessible location before pickup. This helps confirm handling requirements and pickup readiness.
3. On-Site Collection
Our team collects the approved monitors and related electronics using a structured intake workflow designed for business recycling loads.
4. GTAMS Intake And Accountability
Accepted items are recorded through GreenCitizen’s intake workflow to support accountability and, where applicable, inventory reporting based on the selected service package.
5. Optional Add-On Services
If requested in advance, optional services may include documentation such as inventory reporting and Certificates of Destruction for qualifying projects.
Note: We also provide same-day emergency pickup when available. Please select “Immediate pickup (within 24 hours)” on the pickup scheduling form.
