The fellows who picked up our items were super nice and did a fantastic and neat job getting everything into one box. They do good work! It was a pleasure dealing with everyone in the office, too.
Everything went very smoothly. We got the heads up call as requested and the 2 gentlemen that came out didn’t require any additional assistance from us which is a huge deal as we are constantly busy here. Very professional and we’ll be calling you again when we have some more recycling that needs to be done.
Yes, the pickup went well. The guys were very nice and I’m very glad to have gotten rid of all that stuff. Thanks!

Note: All items must be at ground level or accessible by an elevator.
Thank you for completing the first step!
Please let us know what quantity and items you would like to recycle so we can reserve enough space on our truck.

What is GreenCitizen’s Business Recycling Pickup?
GreenCitizen provides secure business computer and electronics recycling pickups across the San Francisco Bay Area, with item-level tracking through our proprietary GTAMS (GreenCitizen Total Accountability Management System). Certificates and reporting are available for data services and tracked assets. We ensure that nothing ends up overseas or in a landfill.
We destroy data and physical devices only using methods approved by DoD 5220.22-M and NIST SP 800-88 Rev.1. For organizations requiring an enterprise disposition program, we offer specialized ITAD services.
Free pickup is available when your inventory includes a minimum of 5 qualifying items (combined) such as laptops, desktops, servers, enterprise networking equipment, LCD/CRT monitors, and phones/tablets (4” or larger).
How To Qualify For Free Business Recycling Pickup In The Bay Area

- Accessibility: Items must be at ground level, at a commercial loading dock, or accessible by elevator.

Beyond Disposal: The GTAMS Chain Of Custody
Most recycling programs provide limited visibility after pickup. GreenCitizen adds item-level tracking through our proprietary GreenCitizen Total Accountability Management System (GTAMS), creating clear documentation from pickup through processing.
Item-Level Serialization And Chain Of Custody
We don’t just weigh pallets. Qualifying systems (for example, laptops, desktops, and servers) are scanned into GTAMS at pickup to create a digital chain of custody from your loading dock to our processing facility.
Note: Individual hard drives and storage media can be serialized and tracked as an additional service.
Audit-Ready ESG And Sustainability Reporting
GTAMS can generate reporting that helps support internal and external sustainability requirements, including:
- Total weight diverted from landfills
- Estimated greenhouse gas impact (GHG) for sustainability reporting
- Material recovery breakdown (for example, metals, plastics, and glass)
Compliance Note: If you need documentation for annual sustainability reporting or ESG audits, GTAMS reporting helps turn e-waste handling into a verifiable record.
How The Business Recycling Pickup Works
1. Schedule And Scope
Submit your pickup request online. We review your inventory volume, device types, and access requirements to confirm whether your request qualifies for free pickup or requires a standard pickup fee. You’ll receive a clear cost estimate before we schedule your pickup.
2. Collection And Total Accountability
Our team collects your equipment using documented handling procedures. Tracked assets can be logged into GTAMS (GreenCitizen Total Accountability Management System) to support item-level accountability from pickup through processing.
3. Processing And Documentation
At our facility, equipment is processed for responsible recycling. Devices selected for data services undergo sanitization or physical destruction using methods approved by DoD and NIST. After processing, you’ll receive standard documentation confirming the completion of these services.
Optional: Detailed certified reporting (including serial numbers and weight data) is available for an additional $5/device.
