What TV Recycling Options Are Available At GreenCitizen?
Option 1: Business TV Recycling Pickup
GreenCitizen offers business TV recycling pickup across our local Bay Area service area. This service is suitable for businesses, schools, offices, hotels, medical facilities, property managers, retail spaces, and other organizations retiring television equipment during upgrades, relocations, cleanouts, and replacement projects.
Business TV recycling pickup is commonly used during office cleanouts, conference room upgrades, hotel TV replacement projects, school technology turnover, retail display updates, facility moves, and mixed electronics recycling projects.
It is also a practical option when businesses are removing televisions from lobbies, waiting rooms, storage areas, and other shared spaces as part of a broader cleanout.
If your organization is retiring TVs along with monitors, computers, networking equipment, office electronics, or other screen devices, GreenCitizen can support the project as part of a broader business electronics recycling pickup.
Important Note: Oversized items such as server racks and large TVs (55 inches and larger) may involve logistical fees. Please contact GreenCitizen in advance for clarification before drop-off or pickup.
Option 2: TV Drop-Off At Our Burlingame EcoCenter
GreenCitizen also offers TV drop-off recycling at our Burlingame EcoCenter for both businesses and residents. This is a convenient option for households with one or several old TVs, as well as organizations that prefer to self-deliver retired television equipment instead of arranging a pickup.
Our EcoCenter is located near SFO and serves customers from across the San Francisco Bay Area. If you have an unwanted TV taking up space in a home, garage, office, storage room, or back room, drop-off is often the fastest way to recycle it locally.
Drop-Off Location: GreenCitizen EcoCenter, 1831 Old Bayshore Hwy, Suite 2, Burlingame, CA 94010
Drop-Off Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (closed on major holidays)
No appointment is needed for TV drop-off. Customers can simply come during GreenCitizen’s open hours.

Option 3: Mail-In TV Recycling
GreenCitizen also offers mail-in recycling for customers who are outside our local Bay Area service area or unable to use pickup or EcoCenter drop-off. This option gives customers another way to recycle accepted electronics through GreenCitizen when local service is not practical.
Note: Shipping costs are covered by the sender.

California SB 20 Requirement For TV Recycling
Televisions fall under California’s covered electronic waste program under SB 20. Because of this, GreenCitizen needs to collect a California address during intake for TV recycling so the required information can be passed along to ERI for compliance purposes.
This address collection is part of the standard intake process for covered screen devices in California. It helps document that the TV was recycled through the proper channel and supports GreenCitizen’s compliance with downstream recycling requirements.
Note: The state may also contact the company or individual to confirm that the televisions were recycled through GreenCitizen.
Recycling TV Accessories
Along with televisions, customers may also have related accessories or attached components associated with old TV setups.
These may include:
- TV power cords
- remotes
- TV stands
- basic attached accessories
- related display cables
- wall-mount brackets or similar parts
If you have related TV accessories, unusual equipment, or a mixed load of television-related items, it is best to contact GreenCitizen in advance so the intake can be reviewed properly.
Note: If you are bringing a TV remote, please remove the batteries before drop-off. GreenCitizen does not accept batteries, so they should be taken out in advance.
