Don't Let Your Old Computers Pollute Our Planet—Act Now!

Did you know electronic waste is the fastest-growing waste stream globally? Each year, the world generates over 50 million tons of e-waste—the equivalent of discarding 1,000 laptops every single second! Shockingly, only about 20% of this is properly recycled. The rest ends up in landfills or is illegally exported, where toxic substances like lead, mercury, and cadmium leach into our soil and water.

This contamination threatens wildlife, damages ecosystems, and poses severe health risks to humans, including cancer, neurological disorders, and kidney damage.

But you have the power to make a real difference. By recycling just one computer, you can prevent up to 729.73 pounds of carbon emissions—equivalent to planting two trees and letting them grow for ten years.

Imagine if every person in the San Francisco Bay Area recycled an old electronic device; we'd prevent thousands of tons of e-waste from polluting our environment.

Your action matters. When you recycle your old devices, you not only prevent hazardous toxins from polluting our environment but also conserve precious resources like gold, silver, and copper—reducing the need for new mining and supporting sustainable electronics manufacturing.

Act now and be the change that leads to a greener world.
