Finally, we have biodegradable toothpaste tubes. Developed by Rocc Naturals, the tubes need 6 to 10 years to break down and don’t become harmful microplastics.

1.5 billion tubes end up in a landfill every year. It takes each tube 500 years to break down.

Now, for the first time ever, we have biodegradable toothpaste tubes. Developed by Rocc Naturals, these tubes only need 6 to 10 years to break down. Most importantly, they don’t become harmful microplastics.

According to Insta Bumper, National Geographic named plastic pollution one of the world’s biggest environmental challenges today.

People are becoming aware that plastic trash is everywhere, from our landfills to oceans.

Plastic production and sales skyrocketed at the end of WWII, but plastic consumption is still on the rise, with half of all plastics ever manufactured being made in the last 15 years alone. Plastic production increased from 2.3 million tons in 1950 to 448 million tons 65 years later, in 2015.

Luckily, companies such as Rocc Naturals are helping tackle this issue. Their toothpaste tube is entirely sustainable. Both the box and the cap can be recycled. What’s more, even the trays on the shelves in which the toothpaste is sold are recyclable as well.

What I like the best is that the toothpaste is safe too. It’s full of vitamins and minerals with a minty taste.
