At GreenCitizen, we provide comprehensive hard drive and hard disk data destruction services at our Burlingame Eco Center or through scheduled business pickups.
Our secure data destruction process includes:
- Tracking for Accountability: We record the make, model, and serial number of each hard drive and HDD in our secure database for full accountability.
- Physical Destruction: We physically destroy each hard drive using our state-of-the-art hard disk destroyer, ensuring all data is permanently erased.
- Certification: Once your hard drives have been destroyed, we'll send you a Certificate of Destruction listing each individual drive by serial and model number. You'll have a record, and so will we—because when it comes to destroying data, we believe that accountability is key.
On-Site Hard Drive Data Destruction
For businesses requiring extra security, we offer on-site hard drive and HDD destruction services. Here’s how it works:
- On-Site Service: We bring our portable hard disk destroyer directly to your facility or office.
- Inventory Documentation: We log each hard drive's model and serial number for tracking purposes.
- Witnessed Destruction: Your staff can observe the physical destruction of the hard drives, ensuring full transparency and security.
- Certification: Upon request, we provide a Certificate of Destruction for your records.
Nationwide Mail-In Confidential Data Destruction
Can’t visit our Burlingame Eco Center? No problem—we offer mail-in hard drive data destruction services for your convenience. Here’s how it works:
- Fill Out the Online Mail-In Form: Click on the button below to complete our secure online mail-in form.
- Prepare Your Shipment: Securely package your hard drives (SSDs and HDDs).
- Ship Your Hard Drives: Send your package via certified mail to the address provided after submitting the online form.
- Secure Destruction: Once we receive your hard drives and payment, we will securely destroy them using our state-of-the-art equipment powered by a solar power station.
- Certification: Upon request, we will email you a Certificate of Destruction listing each hard drive by make, model, and serial number.
We offer FREE hard drive data erasure services for eligible computers. If your computer is from 2019 or newer, both Apple and non-Apple computers, we can securely erase your hard drive at no cost.
- Secure Erasure: We adhere to industry-leading standards to ensure all data is thoroughly and securely erased.
- Record Keeping: We track each device's make, model, and serial number. Upon request, we can provide a Data Destruction Summary certifying that all items have been securely erased.
- Comprehensive Service: We accept both solid-state drives (SSDs) and mechanical hard disk drives (HDDs).
Note: This service does not include tracking each individual drive.
