What Tablet Recycling Options Are Available At GreenCitizen?

Option 1: Business Tablet Recycling Pickup (For Businesses and Organizations)

GreenCitizen’s business tablet recycling pickup is designed for organizations retiring tablets through IT refresh cycles, employee offboarding, school/device programs, office consolidations, and decommissioning events. This option is ideal when you need structured IT asset disposition (ITAD), optional data services, and compliance documentation.

Typical Flow For Business Tablet Recycling Pickup:

    1. Confirm Scope And Service Needs: Share tablet counts, device types (iPad, Android, Surface), and whether you need data erasure and/or a Certificate of Destruction.
    2. Pickup Scheduling And Intake Planning: We confirm pickup timing and handling requirements for your Bay Area site.
    3. Controlled Collection And Intake: Devices are collected and processed through a consistent intake workflow.
    4. GTAMS Tracking For Accepted Items: For qualifying business loads, accepted items can be tracked through GTAMS (GreenCitizen Total Accountability Management System) for accountability.
    5. Data Services And Documentation (If Requested): Data erasure and documentation services are applied based on your service selection.

Note: We also provide same-day emergency pickup when available. Please select “Immediate pickup (within 24 hours)” on the pickup scheduling form.

Option 2: Tablet Drop-Off At The Burlingame EcoCenter (For Residents And Businesses)

For residents and small quantities, you can drop off tablets directly at our Burlingame EcoCenter. GreenCitizen understands that most residents are disposing of smaller personal devices—such as old iPads, Android tablets, home-use tablets, and related accessories—rather than large enterprise loads.

Drop-Off Location & Hours

  • Where: GreenCitizen EcoCenter, 1831 Old Bayshore Hwy, Suite 2, Burlingame, CA 94010
  • When: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (closed weekends and major holidays)

Option 3: Mail-In Tablet Recycling (For Outside The Bay Area)

If you’re outside the Bay Area, you can still recycle tablets through our nationwide mail-in recycling option. This is a practical choice for tablets because they are lightweight and easy to ship safely.

Note: Shipping costs are covered by the sender.

Note: Our business pickup service is available to Bay Area businesses only, while our drop-off service is open to both residents and businesses.
