The highly-regarded nonprofit, Sustainable San Mateo County (SSMC) is seeking nominations for its 2022 awards program. The awards aim to honor the demonstration of impeccable commitment towards sustainability practices based in San Mateo County.
Sustainable San Mateo County will recognize the winner in the 23rd Annual Awards Celebration which is expected to be held in the spring of 2022.
SSMC is calling for nominations for two different awards this year — the 2022 Sustainability Award and the 20th annual Green Building Award.
The nominees of the 2022 Sustainability Award must address each of the three E’s of sustainability — Environmental impacts, social Equity, and Economic vitality. Also, the available categories for the nomination are — individuals, nonprofits, businesses, education institutions, and government.
For the 20th annual Green Building Award, SSMC is collaborating with the American Institute of Architects, San Mateo County (AIASMC). This particular award recognizes projects in San Mateo County that promote green, sustainable designs and constructions.
Eager participants must submit their nominations by December 6, 2021, and self-nominations are welcome too.

Apart from the mentioned two awards, Peninsula Clean Energy has also called for nominations for its All-Electric Awards program. The organization invites all designers, builders, developers, and property owners of all-electric residential and commercial buildings in San Mateo County.
If you believe that you match the criteria, feel free to apply for the nomination. But hurry up as the application submission due date is November 17, 2021.
