Business Phone Recycling Pickup (Recommended For Organizations)
GreenCitizen’s business phone recycling pickup service is designed for Bay Area organizations retiring phones and related communication devices during IT refreshes, employee offboarding, office relocations, telecom upgrades, and general electronics cleanouts.
Typical Flow For Business Phone Recycling Pickup
Complete The Pickup Request Form
To schedule a business pickup, fill out the pickup form with your equipment details, service needs, and preferred pickup date and time. Include the types and quantities of phone equipment you want to recycle, such as smartphones, employee cell phones, desk phones, VoIP handsets, conference phones, chargers, docks, and related accessories.
If you need add-on services such as data erasure, physical destruction, inventory reporting, or a Certified Report, please request them when submitting the form.
Note: We also offer same-day emergency pickup when available. To request expedited service, select “Immediate pickup (within 24 hours)” when scheduling recycling pickup.
Prepare Equipment For Pickup
All pickup items must be staged at a loading dock, ground-level area, or elevator-accessible location. This helps us confirm vehicle space, handling requirements, and pickup readiness before arrival.
On-Site Collection
Our team collects the approved phone and communication equipment using a structured intake workflow designed for business loads that may include smartphones, boxed devices, desk phones, VoIP hardware, conference phones, and related accessories.
GTAMS Intake And Item-Level Tracking
Accepted items are recorded in GTAMS (GreenCitizen Total Accountability Management System) to support item-level tracking and accountability. Inventory reporting may also be available if selected as part of your service package.
Add-On Data And Documentation Services
If requested, GreenCitizen can provide add-on services such as data erasure, physical destruction, inventory reporting, and Certified Reports. These services are optional and should be requested in advance when scheduling your pickup.
Resident And Business Phone Drop-Off At The Burlingame EcoCenter
Residents and businesses can drop off phones directly at our Burlingame EcoCenter.
This drop-off option is available for both residential and business customers bringing in accepted phones, desk phones, VoIP handsets, accessories, and related electronics. Drop-off is not limited by business size and is not positioned only for smaller loads. If your phone equipment is accepted, you can use the EcoCenter drop-off service.
No appointment is necessary for drop-off, but customers are required to complete the Drop-Off Form. The form can be filled out ahead of time or completed after arriving at the EcoCenter.
Drop-Off Location & Hours

Mail-In Phone Recycling For Customers Across The USA
GreenCitizen also offers mail-in phone recycling for customers located outside our local Bay Area pickup radius or anyone across the United States who wants to recycle old phones through GreenCitizen.

If you are outside our 35-mile Bay Area business pickup radius, or simply prefer to ship your retired phones directly to us, mail-in recycling makes it possible to still use GreenCitizen’s phone recycling services.
Mail-in recycling can be a practical option for:
