Foxit Software, a leading provider of innovative PDF solutions, has partnered with a reforestation non-profit One Tree Planted. Together, they plan to help plant trees in California forests devastated by recent wildfires.
According to Foxit, the program will see one tree planted for every PDF Compressor sold. California was selected because of the unprecedentedly harsh wildfire season that affected over two million acres of land.
“Planting trees is one of the best ways to combat the damaging effects of climate change. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80 percent of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. Trees also provide tremendous social impacts by providing jobs to over 1.6 billion people, empowering women in underdeveloped nations, and supporting communities devastated by environmental damage.”
Alisa Fetic, Director of Marketing with Foxit Software, said that partnering with reforestation organizations like One Tree Planted is important because the company is looking to reduce its own carbon footprint.
Foxit’s PDF Compressors can help organizations work more efficiently and cut costs but compressing, converting, and OCRing hundreds of thousands of documents.
For each PDF Compressor purchase, One Tree Planted will plant one tree, helped by local partner organizations and community volunteers.
One Tree Planted partners already include Facebook, Adidas, Marley Coffee, DHL, and many others. Can we give them a big like?
