Gradient’s new window AC units offer energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions that consume 30% less energy offer and 75% carbon reduction.

The Earth is warming up, which means traditional designs for ventilation and heating will no longer be appropriate for many places on Earth.

Effective air conditioning is becoming more and more crucial in home design, but this can be bad for the environment because of high energy usage.

According to Inhabitat, a company called Gradient is looking to change this. They’ve created a window that’s climate-friendly.

statement
“Centralized heat pumps have been growing in popularity because of their energy-efficient technology. But those centralized systems are overtly expensive and unattainable by many. Gradient solves both problems with an affordable, compact window unit that can replace any bulky, loud window unit. Another unique feature of the design is the way it drops below the surface of the window so it doesn’t block the view, eliminating the eyesore of most window units.”

While Gradient’s system hasn’t received an official efficiency rating, the company says that their system uses 30% less energy than standard AC units and has 75% carbon reduction, which they hope will reach 100% in the future.

Best of all, the unit is easy to install. It only takes 15 minutes and minimal tools.
